KidzArt Programs
After School Programs
Open to children in K-5th grade.
Our after school program offers one hour, weekly classes for elementary students. Classes are set up in sessions from 5-12 weeks long throughout the school year. As a portable program, we partner with schools, community centers and recreation departments to bring our classes into your community.
Students are exposed to a variety of media, artistic styles, and cultural interpretations. Elements of brainstorming and problem solving are introduced through the interactive format, and mistakes are minimized with the know-how to find solutions. Students will begin to express their ideas freely, become more confident in their attempts at self-expression, as well as begin to develop their own personal style.
Camps & Workshops
Camps (Summer/Winter) and Workshops give your child the opportunity to really get into their artwork. These programs usually last from 3-5 hours per day and typically have a theme. With longer blocks of time and more mediums and projects, your child will take their art to a whole new level.
During our summer camps, friends and family of our campers are invited to attend a mini art show, showcasing the projects made each week, on the last day of camp. The gallery is a great way for all of our aspiring artists to display their work.
Preschool Program: Discover!
For ages 3.5-5
The ‘language’ of art begins with the recognition of lines and shapes. We show preschoolers how these lines and shapes can fit together to create a complete whole. Much of DISCOVER! centers around teaching our preschoolers to slow down, to focus, and to see how the world around them is put together. They learn how they can create recognizable forms from the ‘language’ of art they are learning.
This 30-minute program is ideal to be offered as an additional activity for an extended day program or a “Lunch Bunch” enrichment class.
We also will be hosting preschool classes at some of our recreation center locations. See the classes page for details.
Scout Workshops

Looking for a fresh creative idea for your scout group? Need to satisfy a badge requirement? KidzArt classes can be designed to meet these requirements or can just be a fun activity for your group. A minimum of 10 participants is required for workshops. Troops may wish to invite friends or siblings to participate to meet the minimum.
KidzArt is partnering with Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson to offer workshops with the Dutchess and Ulster offices in Spring 2009. Check our their program brochure for info.
KA Products Fundraiser
Our newest program features your child’s artwork on all kinds of cool products, like mugs, t-shirts, note cards and more!
As a fundraiser for your school, KidzArt provides an In School Workshop for every class in your school. All the artwork created during the workshops will be uploaded to our secure, password protected galleries. Then parents will be able to purchase their child’s artwork on a wide variety of products.
Call the office to find out more about this program or to set up the fundraiser for your school.
KidzArt® uses only high quality, non-toxic art materials.
